Sincere cemented his synthetic track form with a win at Riccarton on Friday over 1600m.
The four-year-old son of Savabeel has shown his affinity for the surface with three wins from five starts on the poly, finishing fourth on the other two occasions.
Sincere came into Friday’s contest in form, having won his last start at the same track and distance earlier this month.
Partnered again by Kozzi Asano, Sincere drew the inside barrier and settled mid field after the gates opened.
Asano bided his time and just when it looked like the pair would be hampered by traffic problems a gap opened with 200m to go.
They took full advantage of the opportunity and launched their run home, easily scooting past their rivals and going on to win by 2 ¾ lengths.
Trainer Andrew Carston said he had been expecting a strong performance though was pleasantly surprised but the winning margin.
“We went into the race pretty confident,” he said. “He obviously likes the poly and Kozzie rode him well. He’s a progressive horse and it really was a dominant win.
“We’ll probably poke around the poly with him over the winter while he likes it and just see how he goes.”
