Sharp ‘n’ Silver continued her run of good form with a win at Gore on Saturday.

The five-year-old mare was backing up off a win at Reefton 10 days ago and the quick turnaround didn’t bother the daughter of Guillotine as she ran away to a half-length victory under in-form jockey Kozzi Asano.

“She continues to impress and lift the bar,” trainer Andrew Carston said. “It was another tough win and a credit to her.

“It was a good positive ride from Kozzi,”

Sharp ‘n’ Silver is stringing together a strong record for her South Island owners and has now won four of her last six starts.

Carston has no set plans for Sharp ‘n’ Silver and will see how the mare progresses before making a decision on her next target.

“I’m not sure where she will head next,” he said. “We will see how she comes through this race.”
