CARSTON RUNNER ROCS AT OTAGO

Roc The Cradle scored an overdue win to break his maiden at Otago on Thursday.

The four-year-old gelding jumped well and settled among leading group in the K B Contractors Maiden (2200m) for jockey Doni Prastiyou.

He travelled keenly and made the lead coming around the turn holding off a challenge from place getters Queen El Jay and Times Flying to win by half a length.

“He is a progressive stayer that i feel will just continue to improve,” trainer Andrew Carston said. “It’s always good to get a result for my biggest supporters Go Racing. He is likely to head to Riccarton next on the 14th of February.”

The son of Roc De Cambes runs in the colours of Go Racing for the Go Racing Roc De Casbah Syndicate.
