Listed Welcome Stakes winner Miss Federer will have a change of jockey when she makes her North Island debut at Ellerslie on January 13.
The filly who is in second position on the Karaka Million order of entry, has been ridden by Matthew Cameron to win her last two races.
“Matt’s riding one of Te Akau’s so Sam Collett has picked up the ride on the thirteenth and then we will re-assess after that,” Carston said.
“Sam will suit her well, being a left-handed stick rider at her first time going around Ellerslie.
Purchased for just $10,000, by Carston out of Bradbury Park’s 2018 NZB National Yearling Sale Book 2, Miss Federer is the cheapest of the top 30 runners in the order of entry for New Zealand’s $1 million two-year-old race which will be run at Ellerslie on January 26.
