Carston making his mark!

Go Racing’s southern-most trainer Andrew Carston is going from strength to strength in the Christchurch stable.

Pinzano remains a consistent winner with four races and $50,000 in prize money under her belt since she headed south just over a year ago.

Elusive Boxers is another horse that has benefitted from southern hospitality since June. She had a lovely win in a Pearl Series Race at Oamaru for an impressive winner’s purse of just over $35,000.

Andrew’s newest Go Racing arrival is a very promising two-year-old Jimmy Choux x Miss Infinnity filly which had a flying jump out last week, trials on Saturday and could well make the first two-year-old race of the season in the South Island.

“She’s very professional and I’m really impressed with her. She was half a length slow away in her jump out, but once into stride she picked the other runners up quickly,” says Andrew.

“All the horses have been humming and it’s great to be part of the Go Racing team. We even had Racing Manager Matt Allnutt mucking out stalls last week!”

Finally, we can’t forget battler Sadlers Rock who ran second in five cup races last season, beaten a nose in two of them. The heartbreak kid has come up really well and it would be great to see him knock one off this season. He deserves it.
